Welcome!

I’m glad you’ve found my small space on the web. I have worked as a copywriter, editor and web designer for more than eighteen years, both full time and on a part time, contractual basis. I love everything about the written word: its structure, connotation, denotation. The way it looks, and the meaning behind it.

Words are such powerful tools.

Currently, I work freelance as a content creator for a Tampa magazine, Stroll, producing articles that require research and interviews. Additionally, I complete freelance projects for clients that include website content, blog posts, editing of written materials, and curriculum development.

Teaching Language Arts to middle schoolers currently pays the bills, but I hope at some point in the future to move into a more creative role in the area of writing, editing, or learning development.

Please take a few moments to view past projects. Print projects can be sent by request.

Happy reading!

Recommendations

"Working with Kathy was a really exceptional experience. She was able to maintain my voice in the narrative but also provide key grammatical and content edits, and to provide guidance on what could be added in order to make the narrative stronger. The work was in two genres, one memoir and one self-help / business and she worked well with each. She was also very supportive and encouraging, worked super super fast--which was amazing given that it was also high-quality work, and always hit the timelines and deadlines. Highly recommended if you're looking for an editor that is going to focus on making your work better."

"Kathy did an edit of a couple of chapters of a self-help / memoir I'm working on and was awesome. The edit was thorough, made my work more clear, and flow better. She definitely elevated the quality of the narrative . . ."

"Kathy is excellent to work with and has provided quality content for our blog."
